<\/p>\n<\/p>If you\u2019re not using the Google Shopping ads feature in Etsy to market your Etsy Shop on Google, you should be!\u00a0 Etsy works directly with Google Shopping to feature your listings in Google Shopping search results.\u00a0 Every time someone puts your keywords into the Google search bar your listings come up in the Google Shopping results. If you sell baby girl bows and you have your Google Shopping ads turned on every time someone shops for \u201cbaby girl bows\u201d your listings will pull up in the search results on Google Shopping.\n

Take a look at my stats for May. Right now it\u2019s not even 8am on May 30th so I still have a couple of days to go but this will give you a good idea of what Google Shopping Ads can do for your shop. I currently have 16,243 impressions from Google Shopping. That means that this month so far, 16,243 people have seen my listings on Etsy. Of those impressions I got 189 clicks to my shop and 12 orders. The revenue so far is $242.32 (my items are relatively inexpensive) and it has only cost me $28.74 in marketing fees.<\/p>\n

I have my fee threshold set at $1.00 per day so I will never pay more than $30-$31\/per month for marketing. Once I reach $1.00 for the day Google stops showing my products. If I were to increase my spending to $2.00\/ per day I would double my exposure and likely see a pretty big jump in revenue. I\u2019ve had it set at $1.00\/day since I opened my shop and I\u2019m happy with these numbers.<\/p>\n

Etsy lets you turn this feature on and off whenever you\u2019d like so if you want to give it a shot but aren\u2019t sure you want to spend $30 on it just yet, go ahead and turn it on in your shop and set your threshold to $1.00\/day. When you\u2019ve reached the max you\u2019re willing to spend, just turn it off.\u00a0 There\u2019s no penalty or monthly commitment to use this feature.<\/p>\n
To market your Etsy Shop on Google, head to your shop manager and select \u201cMarketing\u201d then \u201cGoogle Shopping\u201d. \u00a0From there turn on the \u201cAdvertise with Google Shopping ads\u201d feature. From there you can select your daily budget, what country\u2019s you\u2019d like to advertise in and if you\u2019d like to automatically advertise your new listings as you create them.<\/p>\n

Once you have your ads turned on and you have selected your location and spending limit you can scroll down and choose which of your listings you want to feature in Google Shopping. You can manually turn listings on or off or you can turn all listings on at the same time. During the holiday season I like to only advertise my holiday items so I go in and edit my account a lot.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019ve given it a try and you decide you\u2019re not thrilled with it, just turn off the feature and you won\u2019t be charged any more. The fees for this are added to your bill along with your listing fees, transaction fees and shipping fees. There\u2019s no need to make a separate payment to Google just to market your Etsy Shop on Google. Etsy takes care of it all. If you use the QuickBooks for Etsy feature it automatically categorizes your Google Shopping fees as marketing so you get that write off for advertising. \u00a0You should really give it a shot. It\u2019s a great way to promote your listings and bring in more money and that\u2019s what we\u2019re here to do, right?<\/p>\n
