Valentine\u2019s Day is coming right up and we wanted to share a fun Valentine\u2019s Day Kids Craft that will get your little ones geared up and feeling the love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cotton Ball Valentine\u2019s Day Kids Craft<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Materials Needed:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Construction paper<\/a>. You can choose any color you\u2019d like however red, pink, white and light purple are great Valentine\u2019s Day colors.<\/li>
  2. Cotton balls<\/a><\/li>
  3. Craft paint<\/a>. Again, red, pink, white and light purple work well.<\/li>
  4. Heart pattern (download one free here)<\/li>
  5. Tape<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Instructions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Fold a piece of construction paper in half to create a greeting card and set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Use the heart pattern to cut a heart out of a darker piece of construction paper. You want to use the darker colors because they will absorb the paint better and have less bleed through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Tape the heart you just cut out to the front cover of your greeting card. You\u2019ll want to roll the tape around your finger to create a double sided piece of tape and only tape the middle of the heart to the card. Don\u2019t tape the edges of the heart or it will cause defects in your final design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dab a cotton ball in craft paint and stamp the paint filled cotton ball all around the front of your card. Use several colors (make sure to use a different cotton ball for each color) and start from the edges of the card then work your way into the center. You want the thicker paint to be at the edges and the thinner paint to be around the heart you taped to the middle of the card.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    While your card is still wet, remove the paper heart you taped to the middle of your card. It is very important to do this while the paint is still wet. There\u2019s a chance the heart will rip the card if you let the paint dry first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
