Cricut Design Space has a feature that not everyone is aware of.\u00a0 Did you know you can upload patterns in Cricut Design Space? It\u2019s a really neat feature. With patterns you have so many options for making invitations<\/a>, greeting cards, stickers and any other kind of printable you can imagine. You simply upload your pattern and use the Cricut print then cut feature to finish you project.\u00a0 Here\u2019s how it works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step One<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Choose the patterns you want to upload. Digital papers make really great patterns and the lines are usually seamless. I get all my digital paper from Creative Fabrica<\/a>. They have 1000\u2019s to choose from and since I have a subscription<\/a>, I get them all for free. You can use any photo, text, graphic or digital paper as a pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Two<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Open a new project in Cricut Design Space. Once your project\nis open, click \u201cUpload\u201d in the left side tool bar.\u00a0 Once you\u2019re on the upload screen go over to\nthe right and select \u201cUpload Pattern\u201d.\u00a0\nFrom there you can drag and drop your fill or browse for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Three<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once your file is pulled into Design Space you\u2019ll need to\nname it and click \u201cSave\u201d. This will save the pattern into your patterns section\nof Design Space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to use patterns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After you upload patterns you\u2019re going to want to use them.\nThe basics are pretty easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step One<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pull in a square from the Shape tool on the left menu bar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Two<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to the top menu bar and click on the \u201cFill\u201d box. Change\nthe fill from \u201cNo Fill\u201d to \u201cPrint\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Three<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Select the color box to the right of the fill box (it should be a dark grey).\u00a0 Change the color box from \u201cColor\u201d to \u201cPattern\u201d and choose the pattern you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
