Mandala designs are pretty amazing. They are both beautiful to look at and fun to weed but have you ever tried to make one yourself? It\u2019s not the easiest thing to do so today I\u2019m going to show you how to make a mandala design in Cricut Design Space.\u00a0 Now these aren\u2019t true mandalas because they don\u2019t have the same repeating patterns but they\u2019ll do in a pinch and they\u2019re just as pretty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to make these mandala designs you\u2019ll need to choose your theme.\u00a0 For mine I went with flowers but you can do anything you want.\u00a0 You could make a mandala design with a Christmas theme and do snowflakes or Christmas trees.\u00a0 You could make a Disney themed mandala design and use Mickey and Minnie heads.\u00a0 It\u2019s really up to you what theme you go with but the basic steps are the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step One:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Choose your main shape.\u00a0 This is the shape you will be cutting your smaller theme (mandala) from.\u00a0 In my example I went with the word \u201cHOPE\u201d but you can choose whatever you want.\u00a0 Like if you\u2019re doing Christmas maybe you want a large Christmas tree to be the main shape of your mandala design. Once you have the shape picked out either upload a SVG of that shape into Design Space or create it on your own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Two:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Upload your theme SVG\u2019s into Design Space.\u00a0 Since I went with flowers I got a few different flower SVG\u2019s and uploaded them into Design Space.\u00a0 You\u2019ll want to have different sizes and you\u2019ll want some to be solid and some to be hollow.\u00a0 If you can\u2019t find a mix of solid and hollow shapes don\u2019t worry too much.\u00a0 I\u2019ll show you how to contour and change a solid to a hollow and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
