Buffalo plaid is still crazy popular for Christmas d\u00e9cor and you can make your own DIY buffalo plaid designs in Design Space.\u00a0\u00a0 You don\u2019t need any outside program do to these designs.\u00a0 It can all be done within Cricut Design Space.\u00a0 Follow the steps below to learn how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making DIY Buffalo plaid designs is actually really easy once you understand the basic concept.\u00a0 First, you\u2019ll need a buffalo plaid SVG.\u00a0 You can create your own or you can purchase one.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a link to the buffalo plaid SVG<\/a> I created for this tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step One:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Import your main SVG image.\u00a0 In this tutorial I\u2019m using a snowman, a Christmas tree and a vintage truck.\u00a0 I got all of these images from Cricut with my Cricut Access<\/a>.\u00a0 If your main SVG is more than one layer (more than one color) you will need to weld all layers together as this method will only work if your main SVG is one layer.\u00a0 See the video below for more details.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have your main image in Design Space you\u2019ll want to make it big enough to see and work with clearly and then duplicate it.\u00a0 You can go ahead and hide the duplicate or move it out of the way so that you\u2019re only working with one image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Two:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Import your buffalo plaid SVG.\u00a0 If your SVG is 2 layers like the one I made for these DIY buffalo plaid designs then simply hide or delete the solid back layer. You won\u2019t need this layer at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
