Are you having issues trying to slice in Design Space? There could be a few different reasons for that but it\u2019s usually because you\u2019re trying to slice too many things at the same time.\u00a0 This quick tutorial will show you how to slice in Design Space no matter how many layers you want to slice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, as I mentioned above, Design Space will only let you slice 2 layers at a time.\u00a0 This may seem limiting however there is always a work around. What is that work around you may ask? Well\u2026it\u2019s weld.\u00a0 Yep, that\u2019s all there is to it.\u00a0 You simply weld together everything you want to slice out so that it all becomes 1 layer. Now you can slice as you normally would.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if I want the sliced parts to be different colors? Won\u2019t welding them make them all the same color? Well yes, it will.\u00a0 But there\u2019s an easy fix for that too. That fix is Duplicating.\u00a0 Just duplicate your original items you want sliced out and then weld them together.\u00a0 You\u2019ll slice the duplicated welded part out leaving your original design in tack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
