Wanting to know how to thicken font in Cricut Design Space? When you thicken your font it will not only cut better, it will weed easier and stick better to your final project.\u00a0 I have a really easy way to thicken font in Cricut Design Space. This will make your crafting life so much easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my example I\u2019m going to be using Samantha Font by Laura Worthington.\u00a0 This is one of the most popular fonts out there but it has some really fine lines that need to be thickened before you cut them.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got you covered though\u2026just follow the steps below to thicken font in Cricut Design Space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow These Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First type in your word or phrase and weld it.\u00a0 Sometimes welding may not be necessary. However, it\u2019s a good idea to get in the habit of always welding just in case.\u00a0 For this example I had to weld so that the fancy \u201cn\u201d didn\u2019t cut into the \u201ck\u201d where it crosses over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, with your word or phrase selected, go up to \u201coffset\u201d and set it to 0.05 and make sure the corners are rounded then click \u201capply\u201d.\u00a0 You\u2019ll see the offset appear in black around your word or phrase.\u00a0 If this looks right to you, move on to the next step.\u00a0 If you feel like it\u2019s too thick or not thick enough simply adjust the amount of offset.\u00a0 Bump it up to 0.06 or 0.07 to make it thicker or down to 0.04 or 0.03 to make it thinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have the offset where you want it you\u2019ll need to weld the offset and your original word or phrase together. Simply drag a box around both objects (the offset and your original word or phrase) and click \u201cweld\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
