In this tutorial I\u2019ll show you how to quickly and easily create an outline in Canva.\u00a0 Actually, I have 2 different methods to show you so let\u2019s get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canva has recently released a new text effect called \u201coutline\u201d and of course, this makes it really easy to create an outline in Canva. By using this new effect along with the \u201chollow\u201d effect you can create different looking outlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method One<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the first example we\u2019ll be using both the \u201coutline\u201d effect and the \u201chollow\u201d effect.\u00a0 Pick any font you like and type in your word.\u00a0 I used the Frankfurter Highlight and Frankfurter Normal fonts which are available in Canva Pro<\/a>.\u00a0(You can try Canva Pro free for 30 days by clicking this link<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have your word typed out click the \u201ceffects\u201d button and choose \u201coutline\u201d.\u00a0 You\u2019ll need to make sure the text and the outline are the same color.\u00a0 This will create a base layer for you to work from.\u00a0 Next, duplicate your word and change the color. This will be your second layer. Now, duplicate your word one more time and use the \u201chollow\u201d effect.\u00a0 Pick a color that works nicely with your other 2 colors and play around with the thickness of each effect. That quickly you have your first outline in Canva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
