Want to know how to quickly change colors in Design Space? I’ve got an easy Cricut hack for you. It can get pretty frustrating when you have a lot of little pieces and you need to change the color of all of them…especially if you want them to be several different colors. Clicking each item and then going up to the color box and changing the colors one at a time is tedious to say the least. Let me introduce you to “Color Sync”!

What is Color Sync?
When you start a project in Cricut Design Space you are automatically in the “Layers” panel. This is done by default. In this panel you see your project laid out by layers. You can group, ungroup, duplicate and delete. This is where most of your editing is done. But, if you click over into the “Color Sync” panel your project will arranged by colors.

How do I use Color Sync?
Once you have your project laid out by color you simply drag and drop each piece into the color you want to change it to and it will update live on your screen. If you want to add colors that are not already in your project simply go back to the “Layers” and pull in some circles from the Shape tool. Change the circles to whatever colors you want to add to your project.
You’ll have to do this the normal way by clicking the circle then going to the color box and changing its color. Once you have all the colors added that you want for your project you can switch back to the “Color Sync” panel and continue to drag and drop. Check out the video above to see how it all works.
