What you’ll need
You won’t need much to get started on making this cardstock gift bag. You’ll simply need a couple sheets of standard weight cardstock, some pretty patterned paper and some glue. You can choose your own colors and patterns and really make these gift bags fit any occasion.
The first thing you’ll need is to get the SVG file for this project. You can get the file free from Creative Fabrica simply by signing up for a free trial membership. When you sign up you’ll get your first 10 downloads free. Just use one of your free downloads to grab this file and you’re good to go. The membership will renew at $9.99/month after your 10th download but you can cancel at any time.
You can then cut the file with your Cricut or Silhouette or even use the PDF template to cut by hand. Make sure to watch the video below to see some extra steps you need to take with the score lines if you’re using a cut machine.
How to make it
Once you have all the parts cut you’ll want to glue on the front and back decorative paper parts before you assemble the bag. It just makes it easier to line everything up that way. When you get your cardstock gift bag assembled it’s time to add the pretty flower and bow. These assembly very easily and then just attach directly to the front of your gift bag. I added a little gem to the middle of my flower to give it a little extra bling.
That’s it, you’re all done. Fill the gift bags with anything you like and pop in some tissue paper to finish it off.
