Dear Santa, from a 9 month old
Wondering what to get your infant for Christmas this year? I know a 9 month old who personally told me he’d love to have all of this under the tree Christmas morning! So, with his valuable input, I created the top 5 Christmas Gifts for Infants in 2017. I am NOT beening paid to suggest any of these amazing toys however, I will receive a small commission if you purchase through any of my links.
Up first on his list was the VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker
This is a basic necessity for any baby that’s on the go and ready to explore. This handy little toy will not only get your little one up and moving but it will keep him occupied long enough for you to actually fold that pile of laundry you’ve been staring at for the last 3 days. With all kinds of buttons, knobs and spinners, and over 70 songs, sound effects and phrases there is endless entertainment here. Clicking the photo below will take you to Amazon where you can purchase this great little walker.
Next up, the Fisher-Price Kick & Play Piano Gym
The 9 month old I’m getting all these ideas from said they have this at his daycare and though he’s getting just a bit too old for it, it’s still one of his very favorite toys. He uses the “sit and play” method now where the piano keyboard flips up and he can sit at it and play his little hear out but when he was about 6 months old he would lay and kick the keys with his feet at play the the different toys that hang from the activity bar. Before that, it was a tummy time mat all the way. It’s “fold and go” style makes it easy to take anywhere and it transitions with your baby from about 3 months all the way up to about 1 year old. Clicking the photo below will take you to Amazon to purchase this versatile toy.
Third on his list is the Nuby Octopus Hoopla Bathtime Fun Toys
Bath time is probably this little mans favorite time of the day. Just a little secret, it’s okay to use bath time as a way to get to sit down for a few minuets. Add a bunch of bubbles, put this adorable little octopus in the bath with your rambunctious infant, and have a seat on the floor. Stay close by of course but I promise, this toy will keep your little one playing rather than splashing the water all over and making just another mess for you to clean up. Clicking the photo below will take you to Amazon where you can purchase this “mamma just needs to sit for 3 minuets” toy.
Coming in at number four is Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby’s First Blocks
Okay, as you know, I’ve been getting all of these tips from a 9 month old. He told me that when he first got this toy he was just a “baby” (hahahaha). He more so liked to throw the shapes and try to chew on them but now he understands that the shapes go into the little holes and he cannot get enough. The since of accomplishment he feels when he gets it in is just amazing. And I’m pretty proud of him too! This is another must have for the under one crowd. Clicking the photo below will take you to Amazon so you can put this baby in your cart!
Finishing out the list at number five is the Hohner 4 Piece Baby Band
This 4 piece set come in a clear zipper bag and, I’m not sure why, but this little boy I know thinks that bag is part of the toy too! He can’t unzip the bag but once it’s unzipped for him he loves dumping the toys out and putting them back in (or trying to). This set has 4 musical components for endless noise…er…uh….I mean fun!! And it’s won 27 Creative Child Magazine Top Toy of the Year Awards. Not too shabby. It’s easy to see why this is in the top 5 toys for Christmas 2017. You guessed it, clicking the photo below will take you to Amazon so this too, can be yours.
Well, there you have it. A top 5 Christmas list from a 9 month old. I hope you love these toys as much as we do!
