Goodbye messy eater. Hello happy baby.

My son loves spaghetti. What kid doesn’t. It’s delicious and pretty easy to make at home so it was a go-to meal for us. My problem with feeding Collin spaghetti was that he would ALWAYS forgo the fork and opt to shovel the food into his mouth with his hands. What made it even worse is that Collin loved to rub and squish the spaghetti. He didn’t just simply pick it up and squeeze and squish. He took both hands and slid the plate all around the high chair. Of course this sent food flying in every direction. Sound familiar? Well naturally I was on the hunt for easy feeding options that had less mess.

Easy Feeding Options

What didn’t work

I tried plates and bowls that had a rim around the bottom to suction to the table. Those suckers held on tight so I thought for sure this was the answer. Well super baby Collin was no match for those bowls. He somehow managed to pull them up and the sheer force of him doing so sent the food flying again. The final straw was the day I had a baby, a high chair, a ceiling, a floor and 2 walls covered in milk and Cheerio’s. You’ve been there, right? Have you ever tried to mop a ceiling? Other than it being totally hilarious it was pretty much pointless. These were not the easy feeding options I was looking for.

What did work

So alas, I was back on the hunt for easy feeding options. That’s when I found the Ezpz mat. This entire mat suctions to the table, not just the bottom of the bowl. There’s no way he’s getting the mat unstuck because literally the entire things suctions to the table or high chair tray. Try as hard as he could, Collin was unsuccessful at pulling the mat off the table. Finally, something that actually worked! I got him the Ezpz bowl, happy mat and mini mat.  They also have activity mats that look pretty cool.

And bonus, they’re made of silicone so they’re microwave safe, dishwasher save and even oven safe! They roll up or stack up for easy storage and the mini mat is great for eating out.  You can just roll it up and pack it in the diaper bag. Then your little one has a clean and mess free eating place at the restaurant.

Save your sanity and shop ezpz now.
