Let me show you how to make a tumbler wrap and get free design elements. Not only will the elements be free but we’ll use free design software to make the tumbler wrap as well. Oh and to make things even better, this tumbler wrap will have seamless edges!

Get your design elements
First you need to get your free elements from Creative Fabrica. For this tutorial I used some really pretty roses and glitter. You can download your first 10 items totally free when you sign up for a free trial. Once you finish your 10 free downloads your membership will renew at $9/month or you can instantly upgrade to the yearly plan which is only $4.99/month (billed yearly at $59.)
Get the design software
After you get your elements you’ll need to download Inkscape. This software is totally free to use and it’s a safe download. Click here to download Inkscape and make sure to check out my other tutorial on how to get it all set up.
Make your tumbler wraps
Now that you have your free elements and you have Inkscape downloaded I can show you how to make a tumbler wrap. You’ll need to set up your Inkscape document with some specific dimensions in order for your tumbler wrap to fit a 20oz skinny straight tumbler. Go to “file” and then “document properties” and change the document from mm to in (from millimeters to inches) and then set the height to 8.2” and the width to 9.3”. Now your tumbler wrap will perfectly fit your tumbler.
We also need to change some of the preferences in the document so that when you’re designing you can make your tumbler wrap have seamless edges. You’ll need to go to “edit” and then “preferences”. From there open up the “behavior” tab and go to “steps. Change the “arrow key moves by” section from px to in (pixels to inches) and then change the number to 9.3. I know this seems like a lot but if you just follow those steps exactly you’ll be able to make a perfect seamless tumbler wrap. The video above has more details on why and how all of this works.
Time to design
You have the document all set up and now it’s time to design! Just bring in all the pretty elements you got from Creative Fabrica and arrange them however you think they will look best. If any of your elements are hanging off an edge you will need to duplicate that element and then move it one arrow over to the opposite side (again, the video is much more detailed on how this works). Once you’re done designing simply export the document as a png and you’re all done. Now you know how to make a tumbler wrap. Make sure to check out some of my other Inkscape videos.
