Step 1: Install Your Font in Canva
The first step is installing the Quarantine and Chill font.
In this section of the tutorial, I show you how to:
- Download the font
- Upload it into Canva
- Access it in your Brand Kit
- Get everything ready for your design
Once it’s installed, you’re ready to begin creating your pennant.
Step 2: Add Text to a Pennant Flag
This is where the magic happens.
Instead of typing your entire word into one text box, I show you how to:
- Add one letter at a time
- Position each letter individually
- Resize every letter independently
- Create a perfectly balanced pennant flag
This gives you much more flexibility and allows the text to follow the natural shape of the flag.
Step 3: Make Your Design Pop
Once your lettering is finished, it’s time to polish the design.
In the tutorial, I demonstrate several Canva text effects, including:
- Drop shadows
- Thin outline layers
- Additional styling options
- Simple finishing touches that make the design stand out
These effects help create a more dimensional, professional looking finished product.
