How to do Easter on a Budget

Easter is coming and Dollar Tree has you covered!

Did you realize that Easter is right around the corner? It may not feel like it but I promise it will be upon us before you know it! And you know all of the kids are going to be expecting some pretty amazing baskets and goodies from the Easter Bunny, right? If you’re anything like me you struggle with the Easter thing. You have to have baskets, bunnies, eggs, candy…and if that’s not enough you need to stuff the eggs with something and you need to put gobzoodles of things in the basket to make it extra special. It adds up pretty quick that’s why you’re going to love these Easter saving tips.

The Easter Bunny is almost as magical as Santa in my house and well, this Easter Bunny aint made of money. If you’re Easter Bunny wants to keep the cost down this year too, I’ve got just the perfect Easter saving tips for you! Dollar Tree has your back. EVERYTHING at Dollar Tree is just $1!

When’s the last time you went into a Dollar Tree store? You may not realize just how amazing it is.  It takes a little bit of browsing around and some imagination but you can prepare for any holiday or event with just items from Dollar Tree.

Get your Easter on

These Easter Baskets (okay so they aren’t really Easter Baskets but who cares, they’re adorable) are only $1. I added some personalization to them and now they look like the Easter Bunny tailor made them for each kid. They have them in blue, pink, purple and green. They’re a good strong plastic too and they have built in handles.

Personalized Easter Baskets

These jumbo eggs are also really awesome. They’re 7.5” tall and can be stuff with any number of things.  I put names on the front and stuffed each one with a plush bunny, silly string, craft dough and little animal erasers. I found all of this stuff Dollar Tree. My total cost for each egg, including everything I put in it, was $3.21 (the erasers were 12/$1 and the craft dough was 8/$1). You can’t beat that! At that cost you can make one for all your family and your kid’s friends too. Hello mom of the year!

Jumbo EggsFillers

Even if you can’t personalized them with vinyl decals like I did you can still use paint markers or even Easter stickers from the craft store.

Side hustle bonus:

Buy multiples of these items, bundle them up, take cute pics and sell them on your local Facebook Buy, Sell, Trade site. You don’t even have to personalize them. Mom’s will buy them from you because you did all the shopping and putting together for them. Busy moms will totally PAY for convenience and you can offer that to them!  Now you’ve turned your Easter saving tips into Easter money making.

If you buy these items online you have to buy multiples of each item. The jumbo eggs come in sets of 4 (one of each color). The plush bunnies come by the case which is 36 bunnies of assorted colors but you could also just buy these bunnies which you can buy in sets of 4. The silly string comes in sets of 6.
