Okay, so we’ve all been waiting on this one. Now you can wave text in Cricut Design Space. They’ve finally released a new update that has the “warp” feature available. With warp you can wave, bulge, arch and so much more. This is currently still in beta but don’t worry! I’ll show you how to get the new update and start using the amazing beta feature. Now on the downside, since it is in beta this is only available on desktop. You won’t be able to do this in the Cricut app just yet.
You may need to update Design Space
First, you may need to update your Design Space to the new 7.9 version. This is really simple to do. Just open Design Space as you normally would and then head over the top left and click the little hamburger icon. Next, scroll on down to “settings” and click click “beta”. This will automatically update your Design Space to the 7.9 version. The video below will show you this in more detail.
Get ready to wave your text
Now that you’ve updated you’re ready to wave text in Cricut Design Space. (Side note, you can try this out for free but this is going to be a Cricut Access feature so if you don’t have Access you won’t be able to make any projects using this new feature.) First just enter some text and choose a fun font. I used the Retro Groovy font. Next select the “warp” feature in the top menu bar. You’ll get 24 different options to warp your text into. Play around with them all and see which you like best for your project.
